Directions from Sydney and Wollongong

"The perfect meeting place between Sydney and Wollongong."

From Sydney by train

You are able to catch a city train from Sydney on the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line/South Coast Line or a country train from Central. The trains generally run every hour to Stanwell Park. Please check the timetable to see if you need to change trains at Helensburgh.

From Sydney by car

If you are driving from Sydney take the Southern Freeway, turning off onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive (Tourist Drive). Drive straight through the round-about and follow the road until you get to the top of Bald Hill. Turn right and follow the windy road down hill. Tea by the Sea is the first property on your right at the base of Bald Hill (cnr of Railway Crescent). Turn into Railway Crescent and take the first driveway to your left for Parking.

Alternatively, you can follow the Princes Highway, turning off onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive and follow the directions as above.

Drive through the Royal National Park (Lady Wakehurst Drive)

You may also like to drive through the Royal National Park (Lady Wakehurst Drive) which is the scenic route but will take you slightly longer to get here. Drive out of the National Park, follow the windy road past the Lawrence Hargrave Memorial overlooking Stanwell Park and then drive down Bald Hill.

Drive from Wollongong

Follow Lawrence Hargrave Drive - the coast road otherwise known as Grand Pacific Drive from Thirroul towards the Sea Cliff Bridge around the cliffs past Coalcliff and into Stanwell Park. Pass the first set of shops you see up on your right. Tea by the Sea is your first left driving North towards Bald Hill. Turn left into Railway Crescent and take the first driveway on your left for parking.

Local "Greens' Bus Stop outside Tea by the Sea

There is also a local “Greens” bus stop right outside the front of the homestead. Perfect to hop out, walk up the front steps and in for a cuppa!
See you soon! The coffee is on and the tea is brewing!!
